HUMANOIDS 2024 marks the start of the International Robotics Week in Nancy!
The European project euROBIN decided to co-locate their annual event with this conference. This makes a week full of robotics activities for researchers and professionals, as well as several opportunities for the general public and children, in particular, to learn about robotics.
From 22 to 28 November 2024, Nancy will host the international robotics conference HUMANOIDS 2024 (22-24 November) and then the annual event of the European project euROBIN, Network of Excellence in AI and Robotics (25-28 November). During these two events, several outreach activities are planned for the General Public, particularly for students and children. These events are a unique opportunity for people to meet robotics researchers from academia and industry, to see real robots in action! Our goal is to raise awareness about robotics and artificial intelligence in the general public, demystify these technologies, and contribute to education.
During the HUMANOIDS 2024 conference, we have several outreach activities planned. During the weekend, robotics tutorials and classes will be open for registration for people from the general public. Guided tours will show the exhibition and competition area to the general public. One conference about soft robotics is on Friday.
During the euROBIN event, robotics classes and tours of the exhibition area will be reserved for schools. One conference about robotics and anthropology is on Monday, two Theatrical Shows about AI are on Tuesday and a Debate on Robotics and Science Fiction is on Thursday.
